Summer Love

Over the summer I shot the wedding of my beautiful next door neighbor. She has a little girl that's Luke's age who is a hoot...she wanted to have a friend at the wedding so he got an invite too. I was excited that Luke would be able to see me in action and know what it is I do a little better.

He wasn't at all impressed...mostly bored.
Our little neighbor regularly invites him over for Sushi night at her house, sleepovers (the answer is always no), and video games. The other day she knocked on our door, David answered and she looked at him and said, "Will you please tell Luke that I'll be out of town for a few days and I do not have a crush on him." Done and done.

She really wanted to dance with Luke and grabbed onto his hand and drug him around the dance floor all night. He was mortified....just a little too young to think dancing with a girl is cool. He'd kill me if he knew I posted this picture on the internet. Oh well :)
He did love all the "fancy" food, So I guess all in all it was a success.

It's Phil!

I didn't watch the Emmy's last night but I was happy to hear that Ty Burrell, the guy on Modern Family, won. Over the summer he was a guest at a wedding I shot....kinda fun.
Make-up, apparently,
does wonders for guys too ;)

Drive-in

These pictures are just screaming summer. I'm missing it already.

Have you been to a drive in lately? So much fun.

FIRE

I haven't blogged for so long I can barely remember how! :) I'm not even going to try and catch up....but hopefully I can get in the groove again soon.

A couple weeks ago I was sitting in my bedroom when I heard some loud popping sounds outside my bedroom window. I peaked outside and seriously couldn't believe what I was seeing...the neighbor's garage was completely engulfed in flames. I ran to the front door and when I opened it was almost knocked over by the intense amount of heat. I, of course, called 911...but it seemed like FOREVER before they arrived. I felt extremely helpless while I was waiting so I grabbed my camera and took a couple photos and video :) I had to do something. It was probably only about a minute and half before the crews got there but it was shocking how fast the fire grew. I thought our sweet neighbor's (Grandma Betty) home was going down too....had there been a breeze at all it would have.

Betty's house (right next door)
The whole thing was pretty traumatic for a pregnant hormonal kind of gal like me but luckily Betty's house was miraculously unharmed, the garage was the only thing that was lost, and no one was hurt.

It was, however, very exciting for my little roommate...
Sammy came to check it out too...

Melted garbage can...
