Are you pregnant...or just......nevermind.

Ya know, even though you're pregnant, and gaining weight for all the right reasons, it's still hard to see a picture of yourself and wonder if that's really what you look like. David has this special talent of getting the most unflattering shots of people (of me specifically). I don't feel too picked on because he tries his best to get gruesome shots of EVERYONE he sees....if you could only see some of his "candid" weddings shots...he really is a bad person deep down :). I came across this picture of me eating at a wedding (taken a few weeks ag0) and it just made me feel so good about myself. The blank look on my face as I inhaled three giant cinnamon roles is disturbing to say the least...

Hallelujah!!!

When I was pregnant with Lucas I swear Icould have ran a marathon, but this time I've been extremely uncomfortable (and a big old baby). It's strange feeling so handicap...and I swear no one really believes that I'm in that much pain (I'm finding it difficult to breath and some pretty intense back pain). I'm trying not to be dramatic-- I would much prefer to be happy and pain-free. Anyway, this picture David took last Saturday at my very last bridal shoot before the baby comes!!!! Hallelujah!!! I'm pretty sure I broke my back somewhere along the way...I couldn't walk for the next few days. I'm a little nervous about getting through her wedding day but it's nice to know that it will be the last one I take for awhile. I think I'd pull my hair out if I was heading into another busy wedding season. I got really behind this last year (I'm still blaming it on Girls Camp), and I'm still trying to finish up about ten or eleven projects. Sorry if anyone reading this is one of those clients!!! I'm plugging along! I've met some of the cutest couples this year and I'm sure I'll miss being around the wedding scene (I still adore couples that are painfully in love--it's so adorable), but it'll be nice to take some time off to be with my sweet little Jane that I've waited so long for! I'm getting SO excited!

Bad to the Bone

Is there anything cuter than a little boy on a four-wheeler!? Seriously.

My Hero

Last year I made Lucas this Spiderman movie poster for his 5th birthday. He was WAY into Spiderman at the time and even told me that he wanted to be a hero when he grew up "because heroes never die". He seems to be concerned about dying more than other children.... Anyway, it looked SO darling framed in his room that I decided I wanted to do a new one every year. I figure he'll be into action heroes for at least five more years, right!?
Here's this years poster: Transformers 6 (because he just turned six...get it?). I'm thinking Batman next year...

F is for fish

In November David and I took the boys to the trout farm. Luke has been saying that he wants to be a "fisherman" when he grows up so I thought he better go fishing at some point in his life. For some reason we haven't taken him before which is a little strange considering who his father is. I remember being so grossed out when I went as a little girl so I wasn't sure how the boys would feel about seeing the hook ripped from the fish's mouths and....blah blah blah, all that other gross stuff I knew they would have to see. But once again I am shocked at the difference between little girls and little boys. It was awesome...not a tear was shed for the dying fish we caught (I remember crying), only celebration! Boys rock.

Happy Holidays

Honestly this has probably been the best Christmas since David and I have been married. I've been really stressed out lately with all of my weddings and projects that need to be finished that it just felt so nice to spend some needed time with my family and revel in the Christmas spirit. It was perfect. David actually surprised me with a few fantastic gifts (he's about as good at keeping secrets as MaryElla and Scott, so I was genuinely surprised). I still can't believe we got Luke a 4-wheeler...I'm a sucker. No regrets though... For some reason I can't find most of the pictures I took throughout the day, but here's a few. Anyway, hopefully everyone had a great holiday...this really is the time of year when I realize just how blessed I am.

the loot...

Luke on his 4-wheeler and my sweet little neice

Might as well throw in Thanksgiving
up at my parents house....

Here's the boys shooting the neighbors houses....creepy, I know

and Luke taking a shot at his dear Mother after I asked him to smile nice for the camera

I made the best cheese ball ever and the only picture I have is this one...can you see it in the middle of the room!?!? Looks delicious, eh!?

Dreaming of a white Christmas....

Over the weekend I shot a wedding in LA...while I was driving to their reception I passed by a couple houses that just cracked me up. How would it be to want snow on your driveway!?! I guess for Tricia and Melissa this is not anything new, but I was impressed by their ambitious efforts in creating a white Christmas.
